Electrical Engg. is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical electric power supply. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications. These are equally good opportunities for jobs in electrical engg. industry and higher education. There is lot of multidisciplinary research for developing electric vehicles with great funding and scope all over there world. The Electrical Engineering Deptt. is equipped with Elect. Machines labs, Measurement lab & Basic Electricity lab with all the equipment required to cover the syllabus prescribed by PSBTE & IT.

Students can get employment in Govt. as well as private sector such as: Government sector: Electrical Deptt., Railway Deptt., Civil Deptt., BSNL, Navy & Air force. Private Sector:Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd., Siemens, Wipro Lighting, Bajaj Electricals, Crompton Greaves, Havells Pvt. Ltd., Kelvin Electricals, Philips Pvt. Ltd.
